Alanoud Alhakbani is a Research Specialist at the Center of Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She received her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from King Saud University (KSU). Before joining CCES, Alanoud worked as a Data Analyst and Smart Cities Specialist at the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) in Saudi Arabia. Since joining CCES, she has been working on the Deep Telemetry project, where she utilizes high-resolution satellite imagery to provide insights that support decision-making in the sustainable development domain, focusing on the Urban Heat Island effect (UHI). Alanoud’s research interests are in sustainable development, big data analytics, machine learning, and data-driven policy.
Alanoud was accepted into MIT’s Technology and Policy master’s program in 2022.
