Dongyu Liu
Dongyu Liu, is an assistant professor of computer science at the University of California-Davis. His research focuses on innovating at the intersection of Machine Learning (ML), Visualization (VIS), and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). He designs and develops human-centered AI systems and interactive visual interfaces to promote the interplay between humans, data, and machines. The central theme driving his research is the pursuit of “big data, intelligent algorithms, intuitive interfaces” to bridge data gaps, making the data-to-decision process more efficient, effective, and trustworthy in sustainability- and healthcare-related domains. The ultimate goal is to catalyze solutions to pressing challenges in these areas to enhance both human life and urban environment.
