Furat Aljishi is a Research Associate at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). After joining the center, she pursued her MSc in Computer Graphics, Vision, and Imaging at University College London (UCL). Throughout her studies, she developed a super-resolution generative adversarial networks (SRGAN) model that enhances the quality of ovarian ultrasound images. At CCES, her research focuses on utilizing high-resolution satellite imagery and deep learning techniques to accurately detect and count date palm trees in Al-Ahsa region, Saudi Arabia, as part of the Deep Telemetry project. Her research interests are in the fields of machine vision, medical imaging, and deep learning.
Furat began her doctoral degree at the University of Oxford in Department of Engineering Science in 2022.
