May Alhazzani is a master student at the MIT Media Lab and a research associate at Center for Complex Engineering Systems at KACST and MIT. She received her master of science degree in computer science from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2014. Her thesis was in the field of bioinformatics, which involved network analysis and statistical testing on gene regulatory networks in human cells. She received her bachelor’s degree from King Saud University. May’s main interests are in graph theory and machine learning. She is currently working on applying network analysis and machine learning techniques on mobility and social networks as part of the City Dynamics project.
