Meshal Alharbi is currently a Research Specialist at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) in King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He received a B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering with highest honors from King Saud University in 2018, with minor in communication systems. Throughout his studies, he had focused on different areas that include digital and wireless communications, digital signal processing, optoelectronic devices and optical systems, cryptography and network security. His undergraduate capstone project was in collaboration with KACST – Technology Innovation Center in Radio Frequency and Photonics (RFTONICS), where he worked on the problem of Automatic Modulation Classification (AMC) for the emerging millimeter wave systems, that are candidate solutions for the next generation 5G and sub-terahertz communications. At CCES, Meshal is currently working on power demand forecasting for Saudi Arabia. His research interest cover wide areas such as: signal processing, machine and statistical learning, mathematical modeling and simulations.
