Paul Grogan

Paul Grogan holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Systems and S.M. degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. degree in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As of 2026, Grogan is a professor at Arizona State University and leads research on engineering design of distributed and decentralized systems with applications to Earth-observing space missions, resource-intensive terrestrial infrastructure, and campaign logistics for space exploration. His work builds on theory and tools in design science, economics, and information science to understand and improve collaborative design across organization boundaries.
