Rawan Alaloula is currently a Research Specialist at the Joint Centers of Excellence Program (JCEP) at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). She received her bachelor degree in Physics from King Saud University (KSU). Rawan works at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in understanding the interaction between the environment and the built infrastructure. Additionally, she works at the Center of Excellence for Earth and Space Science with California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in utilizing remotely sensed data to provide information on the state and dynamics of the hydrologic cycle in Saudi Arabia. Her research interests are in the fields of remote sensing, data analytics, statistical method and scientific computing.
