Tariq Alshahrani was a Research Specialist at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems (CCES) at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) until March 2024. Tariq has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Architectural Engineering from Alfaisal University and a M.S in Architecture in High Performance Building from Georgia Institute of Technology. Tariq has interests in the Built Environment and Building Technologies, as well as Energy Systems and Environmental Systems. Since joining CCES, Tariq has been working on two projects: Urban Water Modeling and Analyzing Changing Climate Across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arabian Peninsula and Associated Impacts on Urban Environments.
