In this project, we aimed to build a prediction database designed specifically for time series data. A time series is arguably the most important form in which data is structured – making predictions using it is ubiquitous: quantitative finance, autonomous navigation, supply chain logistics and healthcare applications just being a few key examples. By creating a viable solution for time series data, we solved a known pain point in both industry and academia, a significant achievement in itself. Additionally, it set us up nicely for generalizing PredictDB to other forms of data.
